Kindness- The Golden Rule!!!!

Everyone knows the golden rule, do onto others as you would have them do onto you. It’s true, and it works. It always seems to be easier to be kind to somebody you know who can return the favor right? 2 Samuel 9 Basically, David had a friend named Jonathan and they were like brothers and Jonathan had died and his son, Mephibosheth was lame in his feet, so David had remembered all of the kind things that Jonathan had done for him, so he decided to show kindness to Mephibosheth. David showed his best friend’s son kindness even though he knew that he wasn’t going to get anything in return. Mephibosheth couldn’t possibly give him anything back because everything he had was because of David, and of course Jonathan couldn’t do anything because he was dead. So apparently David’s motive was pure kindness.
So when you get the chance, do something kind for that person who did something for you! Perhaps that kid who let you copy their homework at the last minute?
Do onto others as you would have them do onto you. Even if that kid treats you like dog crap, be kind to them, they’ll come around. And if they do or they don’t, you’ll still be rewarded in heaven if you have the right motive in your heart.
